Keep Klean Building (Wichita)
Imagine a time when steam laundries captivated the attention of the public. In the years prior to home washing machines, particularly in Wichita, where the population quadrupled in three decades, steam laundries were essential to public health.
Gordon Building (Topeka)
The Gordon Building lost its historic windows in a 1966 tornado that wreaked havoc on the capital city. The windows were finally restored in a federal and state tax credit project.
Coronado Heights (Near Lindsborg)
This park commemorating Coronado's 1540 expedition into what would become Kansas, was developed beginning in the 1910s and came to fruition with WPA funding during the Great Depression.
